My Grandmother because she was unable to read or write but she did not let that hold her back from accomplishing anything she wanted.
– Where you hope to take your career with the knowledge and skills learned.

To earn a Ph.D., to be become a more well-rounded educator, to make a difference in the lives of my students, change the worlds educational perspective on the under privilege/ minority youth, and attain marked ability, scholarship, and research skills in a broad field of learning.

– Your career goals and how the graduate program would help you meet those goals.
– Prior work and life experiences related to your interest and aptitude for the program.

My research would focus on educational gender bias with an academic culture of economic hardship while bringing change to a patriarchal global society.

criminalization of Black girls in K-12 schools; Black women teachers; rural and urban contexts; application of critical theory to the everyday lived experiences of Black folx; aesthetic trauma in K-12 schools; ethic of African centered healing practices for Black girls in K-12 schools; nexus of critical theory, digitized resistance, and popular culture in the lives of Black women and girls.
