Part I – Quantitative Data – Level of Measurement
When the topic of measurement is discussed, you should be thinking only about quantitative research (we generally do not quantitatively measure variables in qualitative research other than some demographics, e.g., sex, age, income – as you know that qualitative research is about words and meaning and not about quantities or numbers).
A researcher is conducting a quantitative study that involves two (2) concepts/variables that s/he needs to measure:
(a) public speaking stress
(b) problem-solving skills
Provide two (2) data collection methods the researcher can use to measure each of these variables.
One (1) of the two collection methods of your choice must yield the HIGHEST level of measurement you can get in measuring the variable.
In answering this question, (1) you should understand the 4 levels of measurement first and which one is the highest; (2) list the method(s) of measurement that can be used to measure each variable; (3) choose two out of the list you have, with one of these two being the method yielding the highest level of measurement possible (the other method can be any one from the list of methods you come up with).
Part II – Internet Research and Ethical Concerns
With an increased use of internet to conduct research, identify and discuss two (2) ethical concerns from the use of the internet research. Substantiating them with the literature.
Ensure your posts are provided with sufficient information with cited source(s) and references using the correct APA format. Your work should reflect your thoughts and writing skills; it should not be merely perfunctory answers to the questions.
