a. Crystal system
b. Point group

d. Unit cell dimensions
e. Common crystal forms or habits
f. Diagram or picture of a crystal

II. Chemistry
a. Formula
b. Range of chemical variation
c. Diagram of atomic structure
d. Character of bonding in the mineral

III. Use or practical application – be sure that the practical use is for the mineral and not a synthetic equivalent. How is the mineral extracted for use.

IV. Geologic Occurrence or Type Location

Describe one common geologic occurrence of the mineral or one location where the mineral is abundant. Include a map or geologic diagram, if available.

At least 5 pages with figures, very concise and to the point. Every figure should have a full caption, with the source of the image. This is a technical report, so all information is taken from other sources (i.e., not your opinion). Therefore, you must reference all information, including figures. Insert reference numbers in the
text. List references in order on the last page, with numbers.
