To be successful in global business, you must understand these values. Values establish the basis for communication across cultures.

Background Information
Your boss has just assigned you to work on a high-profile client account in a foreign country. You have learned you will be making frequent trips to the foreign country to conduct business with the client.
You will interact in a business setting, as well as personal settings, and some trips will require weekend stays.
Instructions
1. Review the rubric to make sure you understand the criteria for earning your grade.
2. Read the additional resources listed above before attempting the assignment.
3. Navigate to the threaded discussion and respond to the following:
a. What are the first steps you would take upon learning of your new assignment?
b. What cultural values would you investigate for the foreign country you will be traveling to?
c. Research cultural values for the country you are using in the Individual Country Project and share some of the cultural values you have found with your classmates.
d. How do these cultural values differ from the United States?
4. Your initial response should be 200 to 300 words in length, include two academic sources that are properly cited, and is due by the end of the fourth day of the workshop.
5. Read and respond to at least two of your classmates’ postings, as well as all follow-up instructor questions directed to you, by the end of the workshop.
6. Your postings should also:
a. Be well developed by providing clear answers with evidence of critical thinking.
b. Add greater depth to the discussion by introducing new ideas and observations.
c. Provide clarification to classmates’ questions and provide insight into the discussion.
