Written Report Overview: You are asked to illustrate how organizational structure can affect speed and control of decision making in any company of your choice. The company you choose must have one of the following organizational structures: Functional, Divisional, Matrix, Virtual network, or Holacracy team.
You must submit a written report of 3000-4000 words. Follow the specifications below to meet the document and presentation requirements:
The project involves selecting a company of your choice and illustrating how organizational structure can affect speed and control of decision making. The aim of this project is to understand the importance of organizational structure on decision making.
You must decide on a company that you want to use in your final project, below are the required steps:
Step1: Provide an overview of the company (background/nature of business, mission, vision, countries of operation).
Step2: Discuss the organizational structure of the company chosen, and explain if it is the ideal structure for the industry your company is in.
Step3: Cite at least two research papers of which you provide a thorough analysis that either support or refute the suitability of the organizational structure your company is currently using.
Step 4: Outline the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats faced by your business and how they relate to the suitability of the organizational structure in your company.
Step 5: Discuss at least 4 critical ideas about organizational structure and design from the course materials and/or webinars and relate it to the speed and control of decision making related to your company.
Step 6: Provide relevant guidelines and recommendations in relation to the change or adjustment of the organizational structure in the company you chose.
You will do so through examining the company and implications of the organizational structure from various perspectives.
The report and presentation should be more than just a collection of key facts and figures; it should offer valuable organizational structure insights about the company and the market.
Additional tips:
Use charts and graphs wherever possible and is necessary to give better explanation.
All sources must be referenced using APA style.
The report should be based on different sources of online databases and demonstrating your own understanding of the readings and class discussions.
Insert bibliography in the end of the report.
Format your report using APA style formatting.

B: PRESENTATION
Each student must participate in the presentation.
10-15 slides maximum which include all steps of report with the main key learnings.
You will be assessed based on your understanding of topic you are presenting, creativity and graphics, thorough response to questions by instructor.
Duration of presentation is 10-15 minutes
