Written care planning report based on a case study
Mental health nursing case study
Aamir Abdalla is a 70-year-old man who has been admitted to an older adult, mental health ward after being found by the police alone and in a state of undress in the city centre during the night. He had several significant bruises on his left leg and back, which he could not explain. He presented as confused and was deemed at risk of harm due to his circumstances. All he had with him was a copy of the Quran. While in hospital, Mr. Abdalla has been quiet and withdrawn. He looks at staff and other patients with a degree of suspicion and stays in his room as much as he can. He has refused all food apart from fruit.
