Objective:

Write a narrative poem that demonstrates an understanding of the story and poetic technique.

You must retell the overall summary of the story.

Requirements:

• Identify specific, significant events from the beginning, middle and end of the story.

• HIGHLIGHT (in green) Nora’s emotions as she progresses through the events of the story.

• Use alliteration twice, and make sure to UNDERLINE the entire line with alliteration.

• The last two lines must be a couplet, so they must rhyme and be HIGHLIGHTED in yellow.

• Adhere to the specific framework (starting letters.

• Include one metaphor, or simile and HIGHLIGHT it in pink.

• 12-15 syllables per line.
