Political representation
Important note: Political presentation is related to the first wave of Feminism
For your topic, use the ‘History’ section of identify the ‘wave ‘ of feminism that it is most closely associated with, landmark legal and social fights around the issue, and who championed the cause. In the ‘Present’ section, describe the current state of the issue – is it resolved, under threat, not being addressed etc.? In the ‘Future’ section, use your analytical skills to assess where the issue is headed, the likelihood of resolution, and what future debates might shape the issue.
You will be assessed using the following criteria:
Content: All information is accurate and supported by relevant research, major debates about the issue are clearly identified, and a clear understanding of the historical evolution of the topic is present, as are the current state and future prospects of the debate /25
Analysis: Analytical skills are used to assess the current state of the debate, as well as projections of what the topic might look like in the near future, critical assessment of different feminist perspectives around the issue are examined, key political and social developments are placed in the context of the time in which they occurred /25
Organization: Information is presented in complete sentences and organized paragraphs, topic sentences are evident, all three organizational categories are present /25
Style: Paper is free of grammatical and spelling errors, proper embedded citation is observed, academic tone is maintained and colloquial language is avoided /25
