This paper is designed to be a thoughtful and insightful description of the expectations you have about your career in criminal justice. While you may not know exactly what you want to do in your career field, you probably have some idea of what you are interested in pursuing first. That is the focus of this assignment.
You will consider both your short and long-term career expectations in this assignment. For example, what expectations do you have for your first job out of college compared to 10 or 15 years down the road?
Your expectations are likely to change as your life changes. I imagine some of you are already in your career path. You can talk about your expectations retrospectively if you want.
Or, you may be planning to transition to another career when you graduate. If you have any special circumstances you are uncertain about, please contact me and we can find a way to work it out.
Review the guidelines linked in this module. You do not have to include all of the expectations listed below if they are not of concern to you. In addition, you may have other concerns not listed here.

You may write in first person. Your assignment is to be between 500-1000 words. Make sure to include your word count at the end of your paper. While it is not required, if you do cite materials in your paper, you are to use proper APA format.
