The definition of culture is exhaustive. However, researchers posit that there is commonality in many of the definitions. One definition, widely published, is that of renowned cross-cultural expert, Geert Hofstede, a Dutch professor, (as cited in Peng, 2014). Hofstede defines culture as “the collective programming of the mind which distinguishes the members of one group, or category, of people from another.” (p. 105). Further, although it is customary to talk about American culture or Brazilian culture, for example, there is no direct and one-to-one relationship between cultures and nation-states. As an example, the United States is a called a “melting pot.” That is the United States is a country of many different cultures; thus having many sub-cultures (Peng, 2014).

Research and identify five cultural blunders, not included in your textbook, of MNE’s.
Explain why they are considered cultural blunders.
What was the impact of the cultural blunder on the specific country or culture?
What action did the company take to correct the cultural blunder?
In hindsight, what action should the company have taken to avoid the cultural blunder, in the first place?
Support your paper with at least five (5) scholarly resources.
