For this project, you must look at a specific organ in the body and decide how many different kinds of tissues are present and where exactly those tissues would be found.
For example we know the integument as an organ contains stratified squamous in the outermost layer, dense irregular in the middle layer and adipose tissue in the deepest layers. But there is also simple cuboidal which forms the sweat glands, smooth muscle which forms the arrector pili muscles, simple squamous lines the blood vessels in the skin just like it lines any other blood vessel in any other organ. Nervous tissue is also present in the various touch and pain receptors in the skin.
This project is worth fifteen points. Ten are based on reaching the correct conclusions and five are based upon participation within your individual groups. You must collaborate together in your groups using the messaging function within Canvas. I will be checking in on all lab groups to make sure everyone is participating and contributing to the answers.
