The heart is an extremely intricate organ of the body made mostly of cardiac muscle. The heart is not only responsible for pumping blood to the lungs and the rest of the body, but it supplies blood to itself via the coronary arteries.
Knowing how blood flows through the heart will ultimately inform you of the majority of the anatomical structures of the heart. When it comes to blood flow through the heart, the foundational number is four (4).
There are 4 chambers of the heart, 4 valves within the heart, and 4 large vessels that attach at the base of the heart. Reminder, the base of the heart is the broad superior region, whereas the apex is the pointed inferior region.

Perform an online search for an unlabeled image of the heart that adequately provides visualization of all the relevant anatomical structures (listed below). It is recommended that you submit this assignment as a PDF to avoid any formatting concerns.
