Starts by introducing the title and provide a brief overview of the topic. Identify the aim of the
text and provide a summary of the main findings. At the end of the introduction, provide a brief
statement and the reason for evaluating the article.
SUMMARY
Provide a summary of the main points of the article and give a few examples. In other words,
what was the authors’ main purpose? Outline the main focus of the article in a few sentences.
Therefore, provide a brief summary of the main issues that the article dealt with.
MAIN BODY (CRITIQUE)
Critically discuss and evaluate the strengths, weaknesses and important characteristics of the
article. The
discussion should include other sources or references that support or contradict the main
issues identified in the article. In other words, there must be references from other articles and
books that focused on a similar issue. The students must demonstrate that he/she is capable
of comparing and synthesizing text from different authors.
CONCLUSION
Provide a summary of the overall opinion of the article. The student must provide
recommendations on how the article may be improved and provide a fair judgement based on
the quality of the article.
Bibliography
Provide a list of 10 references for each critical review. Follow the Harvard method in compiling
the reference list.
The length should be two pages. One critical review per page. (Total, two critical reviews of the two articles/topics). Plagiarism must not exceed 5%
