This paper is focused on my new product idea: Amazon Eyewear Inc will manufacture prescription glasses sold exclusively online that are fashionable, customizable, and affordable. Reference attached file “Amazon Eyewear Overview_module 6 short paper” for information pertaining to the Amazon Eyewear Product, research, and initial demand forecast. The initial demand forecast within this document is needed for the paper.
Paper specifics per the rubric:
Create a semiannual production plan for the Amazon Eyewear product using notional demand and inventory data. This initial production plan is based on the market estimates of what you intend to sell and produce (prescription eyewear). Reference attached file “MBA 690: Module Six Short Paper Guidelines and Rubric” for all critical elements that must be addressed. Each critical element must have its own heading per the rubric. Please also include the excel spreadsheet with pertinent calculations for the semiannual production plan.
Chapters 11 and 16 from Operations Management textbook provide the information required for this assignment. Both chapters are attached in word documents. See attached file “Instructor overview for short paper assignment” which provides additional information for the assignment from the instructor.
The focus of this paper should be to incorporate applicable content/techniques from the text book “Stevenson, W.J. (2018). Operations Management. 13th Edition, McGraw-Hill Education, New York.” (chapters 11, 16) and discuss how it applies to the product. Amazon eyewear is a theoretical product therefore information relating to the product such as the semiannual prodcution plan is theoretical too.
