The essay has to be a minimum of 2000 words in length and it focuses on the book called, “Things Fall Apart,” by Chinua Achebe. Since the essay focuses on the book, you may have to read it. The title of the essay is, “Something is After the Igbo: British Technology and Ideology Displace the Igbo Ethnoscape.” Based on the title, the essay has to discuss how the British changed the Igbo people with their technology and ideology. The British affected the Igbo when they arrived because they sort of, “tamed” them with their education, culture, and religion.

Not all of them will be used and that is fine, but there should be at least 4 sources used. Other sources that are not listed below can be used just as long as they are academic resources. Make sure the intro develops the body of the work and tells the reader what they will read and from what perspective and in what context. Also the very last sentence of the intro has to include the thesis statement. The body of the thesis should discuss the various points and themes that you told the reader about in the introductory paragraph. There should be quotations taken from both the book and the sources in the paragraphs to show evidence of your claims, but make sure they are properly cited in text.
