In this week’s assignment, you will begin to become familiar with Tableau, a business intelligence (BI) data visualization environment. The goal of this week is to learn how to connect to a data source and produce a few simple tabular reports.
week1.2
Tableau from Start to Finish
In this assignment, you will complete a full online tutorial from Tableau. This will familiarize you with resources on Tableau’s website as well as take you from start to finish in the Tableau workflow.
week-3
Create Visualizations
For this assignment, we will be using a new data set. Tableau has sample data that comes with the software. You will use this data to create four visualizations as described in this assignment. You will also be asked to create two more visualizations using your creativity.
week-4
Filters and Drill Downs
In this exercise, you will modify the Tableau workbook created in Week 3 so that each of the visualizations has filters and some can provide drill down into data. Complete each of the following three parts of this assignment.
Week-5
To complete the final project you will create two more data visualizations and generate a dashboard to display the four final project charts. The dashboard will include filter controls for filtering by a salesperson as well as by year.
Open your Final Project file from week 3 and save a new version of it for your week 5 submission. Save the file name accordingly.
