Read the following articles: What Is the Trump Wall? and Why Many White Evangelicals are Not Protesting Family Separations on the U.S. Border.
Write a two-page paper. In the first page, you will discuss the current thinking of the Trump administration on border security; on the second page, you will provide a response to the administration, either supporting the current policy or providing an alternative.
Your paper should discuss the following questions:
What does the Trump administration mean by “border security”?
Is there any common ground between the Trump administration and Congress on resolving the border issue?
What ethical standard has the Trump administration used as a foundation for its border policy?
How can a Christian ethic be applied to the immigration issues facing our nation today, especially in light of the Washington Post article?
Be specific in your responses and use concrete examples from, supplemental readings, outsides sources, and personal experiences to frame your writing.
Use at least two scholarly resources in addition to the readings assigned in this workshop.
Use in-text citations and APA format for direct quotations and references to the readings.
