Engaging Objective Theory
This assignment asks you to apply the theories you are learning about to your own life. Each TiA discussion board post must focus on a theory that is assigned when the TiA is due. For this TiA, you should focus on one of the three objective theories covered in the Module. For example, in Module 2-Theory Track, you will read chapter 8 which explains social penetration. This is one of the theories that you may choose to write about for the TiA post that is due for this module. For each TiA, you need only post one time. You do not need to post a second time in reply to another student’s post, but feel free to do so if you like!
For each TiA post complete the following steps:
Choose a theory from the textbook that is included in the assigned reading.
Think about ways that the theory has application to your own life (past or present).
Write a 150-300 word post that explains this application.
Make sure that in you include terms and concepts from the theory itself.
Review your post for content and style (see grading rubric).
See the Assignment Sheet under Module 0 for specific instructions. See the syllabus and course website for the specific deadline for each TiA post. You are encouraged to make your posts well before the deadline.
