Description
You will work within a team to develop an innovation to improve care for a practice-based scenario in your professional field. You will explore some of the challenges associated with service improvement and present these as 3 guided portfolio entries.
You are also asked to analyse and reflect upon your experiences whilst working within your team and make sense of these with reference to key theoretical concepts explored during the module. This analysis will inform your reflective essay.
The portfolio is divided into 2 sections:
Section 1: This contains 3 guided portfolio entries based upon the innovation that you are working on in your group:
i) An analysis of a piece of research or policy, identifying how it has informed the innovation.
ii) A discussion of the way in which one group of service users or carers could be involved in the development or evaluation of your innovation and how you would manage this.
iii) Identification of one barrier associated with the development or implementation of your team’s innovation. This should include strategies which could be used to overcome the identified barrier
Section 2: A reflective essay based upon your experience of working within the group addressing the following question:
Reflect upon your experiences of working within a team during this module. With reference to relevant team working theories, analyse the factors which contributed to the functioning of your team.
