As you have read in the textbook, the Bill of Rights are the first 10 Amendments to the US Constitution. The 5th Amendment is particularly important to citizens who may be accused of a crime. In fact in a recent example in the news, it has been reported that Roger Stone invoked the 5th Amendment when he was arrested.
