You are required to act as a line manager and conduct a one-to-one practical coaching skills session.
T A S K 1 As a manager it is essential to develop interpersonal skills for personal and professional development. Working in pairs you are required to prepare for the practical coaching sessions. You will act as line manager and hold a 10-minute professional coaching session with your employee, based around a quarterly performance review.
You will be required to research relevant coaching models and apply one of these models during the practical session. Within the session, it is expected that you will facilitate a person-centred approach with some structure evident within the session with two-way agreement achieved on the setting of goals.
