Consider the following hazards: Physical hazards (slippery floors, objects in hallways, poor lighting, scatter rugs, etc).
Chemical hazards (household cleaners, laundry detergent, food storage, medication, personal care items, etc).
Electrical hazards (electrical equipment, electrical outlets, etc.). These are just some examples – this is not a complete list.
Use the home assessment tool to identify any hazards in the following areas: Front and back entrances, kitchen, bathroom, living room, two bedrooms (master and alternate), and laundry room.
Write up a description of the hazards you identified in each area of the home.
What modifications would you need to make in order to eliminate the hazards identified in each area? Describe these modifications in detail for each area of the home.
