Prepare a 5 page paper consisting of the following:
An introduction that summarizes the scope of the assignment
An explanation of how the community meeting exemplifies a component of macro-level intervention. Make connections to 2-3 key concepts presented in Unit I
A brief summary of the meeting, which includes its purpose, sponsoring organization/community entity, background of meeting topic, and demographics of the attendees
Using the academic and professional literature you read and information gleaned from the meeting, briefly describe the change being sought and why the change is needed.
Using critical thinking, explain how the subject of change (as presented in the meeting) is connected to the social work’s values and ethics.
Identify macro social work roles and functions evident within the context this change – based on the specific activities you observed at the meeting and what you have read about roles (refer to class readings and discussions about roles and functions). Connect these roles to your specific observations from the meeting. It is okay to suggest additional roles if you provide the rationale for why this role would be beneficial to the change process.
Identify some advantages and some of the difficulties or challenges that social workers may encounter when attempting to implement the change or address the topic discussed at the meeting
Present a summary and conclusion including your recommendations for future actions
