The Essay Has to follow the Chicago Style Format Clearly. Read chapters 3, 4, 5 (from the colonial period through the Korean War) of Bruce Cumings’ book Korea’s Place in the Sun.
Now, you have to identify Bruce Cumings’ question and argument and examine what evidence Cumings provides in order to support his argument. Lastly, you can add some of your own comments.
Since each chapter of the book deals with a different time period, you can divide your review into three parts dealing with each chapter in each part, and add an introduction and a conclusion. Note that in this case, you have to demonstrate a clear understanding of the chapters.
