Part 1:
Rhetorical analysis on the trailer: Mad Man

Format:
You must write in the academic essay format found in Essay Structure and in the many samples.
The essay must be 12 fonts, and no more than 2 pages, 550 words, max 650 words. Late essays will be docked
5% per day. Essays longer than 650 words will be marked down.
You must include a scratch outline (about 125-175 words) in the same format as the samples on Mad Men.
Part 2:
In an essay of 700, no more than 1000 words, evaluate Fiona Cox’s article (PDF here).

You can write on the author’s overall argument or on a part of it. If you write on a part of it, establish in your introduction why the part you chose is crucial to the success or failure of the author’s overall argument. You must include a bibliography and a scratch outline.
You MUST use at least three specific references to Cox and at least three specific references to episodes of Mad Men.
Show a clear understanding of the first season as well as “The Mountain King” (S2 E12) and “The Summer Man” (S4 E8). Make specific references to three different scholarly sources.
