1. Summarize the interview response by comparing and contrasting the similarities/differences in the two teachers response.

3. How does this information impact your role as a supervisor, mentor and/or coach?

Describe a challenge related to teaching that you have experienced in the past year? The challenge that I experienced in the past was when Covid 19 Pandemic happened. When we had to close the school and children were no longer able to attend preschool. The children may not had the opportunity to continue practicing signing songs, alphabet letters, journals etc..
Describe a success or improvement related to teaching that you have experienced in the past year? In my experience the improvement I feel we made was join class dojo. I posted activities, books, songs, and I feel I still had some connection with the children even if it was through an app.
Describe your current teaching goals. What are a few teaching practice you want to work on and/or improve over the course of this year? I want to continue focusing in teaching children Social Emotional skills.

Describe a challenge related to teaching that you have experienced in the past year? This past year has really been a real challenge with covid 19 and using the CDC guidelines. I had to keep children 6 feet from each other. Preschool teachers are taught to help develop children’s social skills and I couldn’t. I came up with different ways to help develop this skill, but it was a challenge.
Describe a success or improvement related to teaching that you have experienced in the past year? Once success for me was being able to teach through media. I used class dojo. This app taught me how to connect with my families and teach children who were on distance learning.
Describe your current teaching goals. What are a few teaching practice you want to work on and/or improve over the course of this year? This school year I find it very challenging more than last year. I have new children that has some language and cognitive delays. These children need a lot of support, and they are being supported; but the other children are asking for the same attention. It is only an assistant and I who are working with these children.
I help myself by asking upper management to send more help and making referrals to get the help children need with delays. I also plan to open a PM class and move some children; so, I can give the AM and PM class more attention. I feel this will improve our classroom because every child deserves attention.
