Write ONE (1) opinion paper. As there are five Units, you have five opportunities to write this Single Policy Opinion Paper. This is a 3-4- page opinion paper on an issue, policy, or topic facing the United States government or her people.
You must find credible sources to support your viewpoint. At a minimum, you will need to find 3-4 articles that you will cite both internally and on a Work Cited Page, using the latest MLA Style.
While there is flexibility in when you write your paper, there are restrictions on your paper’s subject. The topic of your paper must correspond to the Unit we are covering at the time you submit your paper. Also, your topic must be current – no more than 3 years old, or an issue that has continued into today.
There are two ways to approach finding a topic for your paper. You can select your Unit, and then find a topic that fits. On the other hand, you may have a topic that you feel passionately about and just need to find the correct Unit. Either way, it is important that you look ahead and begin thinking about your paper as soon as possible. You do not want the Units slipping by, and you find yourself staring at Unit 5 early due date without a topic.
