Challenges and complexity in mental health nursing

A scenario-based 25-minute individual presentation. The presentation, notes and Harvard reference list will need to be submitted.
1.Debate the challenges and opportunities facing service users and their families/carers with complex and challenging health and social care needs;
2. Critically explore the nurses’ professional role in managing, co-ordinating and evaluating complex, diverse and challenging care situations;
3. Critically explore collaborative working across contemporary and integrated health and social care environments;
4. Appraise and apply evidence, including policy and mental health legislation to inform clinical decision-making in partnership with service users and their families, identifying opportunities and strengths to promote safe, effective, health and social care.
The presentation will be timed and should last a maximum of 25 minutes. There will be a +10% margin, beyond which nothing will be marked.
The presentation must all be supported by evidence of wider reading and referenced using the Harvard system where necessary.
