Possible Abuse
You are the duty manager at the local council sports complex. Part of your role includes the running of a community class for the local work shelter for adults with mild learning disabilities.
Over your time running the class you noticed one of the participants had begun to appear agitated and anxious.
You also noticed that the participant looked increasingly unkempt and that he was often without money; then he suddenly stopped attending his day centre.
From the above scenario address the situation and outline with policy and reference support the following points;
What would you do immediately?
Would you record the incident, and if so where?
If you felt that you needed to take further advice, who would you speak to?
Would your actions be any different if this was?

Bullying
Roger is 65yrs old and is a long-term member of the local rugby club. Recently Roger has become withdrawn from training for the ‘Golden Oldies’ league (https://www.gorugbyuk.com/) cup.
Previously, Roger was the main driving force for the club, being responsible for the recent uptake of members to the club.
As the team coach you noticed that several new members to the club have been rather vocal about Roger at training.
Disrupting the training environment and creating a negative feeling toward Roger and his enthusiasm toward the club.
