Practice Initiative Project: Business Plan Assignment Instructions
Overview
Business Plan for Improved Quality, Outcomes, and Reduced Cost. You will work with your group to complete the following:
Step One: Build a business case to document how your initiative will improve quality of services/care, reduce health care cost to the organization, and improve health care outcomes for the population.
Base your assertions on research in the literature and current trends. Include a Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) evaluation plan in order to identify long- and short-term opportunities for improvement.
Step Two: Develop a PowerPoint presentation to present your business case for your practice initiative to the board of trustees or executive leadership.
You are seeking approval of the practice initiative to be included in the first year’s funding (See the Practice Initiative – Business Plan PowerPoint Suggestions/Tips document in order to ensure that you include all talking points located in the Practice Initiatives Resources section of the assignment.
Instructions
Cite in current APA format on each slide and include a title slide, introduction slide, body of presentation slides, conclusion slide, and reference slide.
This assignment must include 5 – 8 resources
PowerPoint must have approximately 15 slides (not including the title and reference slides).
Review the grading rubric before completing the presentation. Once completed, submit the PowerPoint presentation as a PDF file to Turnitin. All members of the group should submit the assignment.
Include the grading rubric with the names of all group members added to the rubric. Be sure to submit a copy of the presentation to the Group Discussion.
