In a 12-15 page document, develop a plan for interviewing SME’s so that you will be able to design and develop this innovative technology plan based on learner needs.
Describe the process you would use to collaborate with the SME and other stakeholders in the institution in developing this technology plan (as an introduction to this paper).
Develop a set of critically thought-through and detailed interview questions and sub questions that you would ask the subject matter expert(s) (SMEs), so that you can effectively design your technology plan.
Ensure you know what you need from them, and what questions will help you get that (include actual questions).
Considerations:
Look up: Questions to ask a SME/how to interview a SME.
Word the questions to ensure you get enough information if a SME is not forthcoming, or is not providing enough detail in their responses.
For example: A strategy could be asking “can you give me an example of….”, etc. if they are not elaborating.
Ensure you allow for follow up to questions to draw the details out that you need. Instead of “we really do not have time to do training”, you would want to follow up with “what do you mean no time?
Why do you think this is so? When do you have the most time to get teachers together?”, etc.
