Advanced Developmental Psychology
Summative assessment
This structured assessment requires you to:
i) choose one area of developmental psychology research from the topics covered in term 2 and read in detail two target journal articles, provided on Moodle,
ii) briefly explain the reason for your choice of topic, providing a relevant example of behaviour,
iii) provide a critical review of the two target articles,
iv) identify ideas for further research. The total word count is 2,000. Further details on the content and structure will be provided via Moodle and discussed at the workshop in the module.
References should be provided in APA format at the end of the work.
NB The standard UEL policy on over-length work applies ie if the work significantly exceeds the word limit, the work will be evaluated according to how well the criteria were met in the first 2000 words only.
Formative assessment
An exercise using a marking criteria checklist will be used so that students can, with guidance from the module team, generate their own formative feedback on their draft work
