Answer two of the following questions, each at the length of 500-700 words, using 12-point Times New Roman font. In all cases, your answers will be judged on your knowledge of the concepts and techniques that we examined in the course.
1. Throughout the course, you have discussed the triangular relationship between realism, classicism and formalism. Illustrate this distinction with reference to at least two films screened in this course.
2. The history of cinema has been profoundly shaped by the continual emergence of new audio-visual technologies. With reference to at least two films screened in the course, show how technological change has affected film style.
