Instructions:

For this assessment you will go through the different stages of a qualitative study in psychology. You will do so in an assigned group of 3-4 students.

As a group, you will:

1. Create a research question appropriate for qualitative research – the general topic is ‘Students’ experiences in Higher Education’;

2. Design one, single interview schedule.

Individually, you will:

3. Conduct an interview (one-to-one, semi-structured interview) using the one interview schedule designed by the group;

4. Transcribe the interview;

5. Analyse THREE interview transcripts using Thematic Analysis (recommended and preferred) or
Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA);

empirical report, and as per instructed during the PY2606 teaching sessions.
