Situational Analysis
3500 words (limit +/- 10%) not including appendices and bibliography
Submission details:
Your Situational Analysis must be word-processed and 1.5 line-spaced at 11 point in Arial or Times New Roman. Margins should be set to at least 2cm on all sides. The first page of your assignment must feature your name, the module code and title, the date and your word count. All pages should be numbered.
Appendices should contain all your data and any other content you wish to refer to within the text. Remember to provide full citations for any images or text taken from other sources. The appendices do not count towards your word count.
All the required elements for each assignment must be combined into a single file. Ensure that landscape / portrait pages are oriented correctly and that all text is large enough (no smaller than 11 point Ariel) and clearly legible on screen.
Assignment instructions:
Select an area of student need that your feel is not currently fully met by your school’s provision. Conduct a critical evaluation of a relevant area of the curriculum in order to evaluate how well it meets the defined educational need in your context.
Determine exactly what the curriculum shortcomings are in meeting the need that you have identified. Collect and analyse data from your own school and interpret this alongside relevant theories and research drawn from the recent academic literature.
