Gender barrier in sports

Identify an athlete who helped to break down racial, ethnic, religious, gender, and/or some other barrier and helped to create equality in a particular sport. Explore how they did it, and examine their lasting impact on their chosen sport.
Your essay should be at least three pages in length. You are to include a title page and use at least two references, one of which must be from the CSU Online Library. The second and subsequent references should be from academic or other reliable sources. Keep in mind that no more than 15%–20% of any assignment should contain paraphrased and/or quoted information.
Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Please note that no abstract is needed.
