Description
Choose a single work in any type of media and write an essay critiquing its use of representation and its aesthetic value using the theories discussed in this class.
Examples of these works may be a video game, comic, TV show series, webisode(s), podcast, or anything else if it is a part of media.
If they are transmedial in nature, you may discuss their transmedial value and how the aesthetics and cultural implications change depending on the medium it is situated in.
This assignment will be m4-6 pages (including references), double-spaced, in Times New Roman font with a 12-point font size.
It will include a “References” page using the MLA Style. You can use non-scholarly sources, but most of your sources must be scholarly. A minimum of three sources must be used.
Your midterm essay:
• Must have at least one theory, maximum two theories. What is the most important is that you engage thoughtfully with your theories.
