Requirements
The Great Depression was one of the most severe contractions of global trade and therefore, important for any study of macro-economics. It is an important source of lessons learned in case the world goes into recession again.
After graduating from EU you have been given a job by the Economist,write a long article on “The Great Depression- Lesson learned for the modern global economy”.
The requirements are:
• 1000 words of writing (minimum) and 1500 (maximum) to explain the causes and impact on the US and global economy. Table and diagrams can be included to better explain your ideas in addition to the required text.
• Give some context of the role of the Stock market crash of 1929.
• The effectiveness of the response from governments.
• Keynes’s proposed solution to the problem
• Lessons learned for today’s modern economy which some say may be on edge of recession.
