2.Show command of seminar readings and relevant knowledge from LECTURES NOTES 1-5 (SEE BELOW); reliance on outside reading or the internet will prove a disadvantage!
3. Demonstrate independent thinking; make sense of the reading material and key area covered by the module on your own terms.
4.There is no one true way.
5. Different answers might take entirely opposite positions and yet be equally successful.
6. The key is that answers be well-reasoned, well-expressed, and well evidenced.
7. Excellent answers will have an argument or thesis that answers the question by taking a clear position.
8. They will use examples (people, ideas, organizations, events) from key areas covered and readings to demonstrate the position.
9. They will define key terms, show understanding of relevant concepts in the history of sexuality, exhibit nuance and sophistication, and anticipate objections.
