2i. Summarize Wilson’s argument in your own words accurately.
2ii. What is PAS? What is its status as an idea in conservative religious anti-abortion rights groups? What do you think about it?
2iii. What is an American “pro-life” use of mizuko kuyo? How does it support the ethical position that abortion is wrong?
2iv. What is an American “pro-choice” use of mizuko kuyo? How does it support the ethical position that the choice to have an abortion should be a woman’s?
2v. What do you find significant or interesting about the dynamic of (originally) a uniquely culture-specific practice of Japanese Buddhism and individual Japanese women halfway around the world being used /appropriated by non-Buddhist Americans to advance their competing ethical-political positions on abortion?
