In order to demonstrate that you understand how to apply a style guide to your writing, you will write an essay of no more than 500 words on any topic. You will not be assessed on the ideas or content of the essay, just your application of the style you’ve chosen, and your use of paraphrase, summary, and quotation.
You are strongly encourage to use MLA. You may choose APA or Chicago format. Just be consistent.
Please ensure that your essay contains the following:
Appropriate font size and style;
A properly formatted title page and/or first page with essay title and course information;
Double spacing in the body of your essay;
At least three different sources cited in the body of your essay;
A properly formatted Works Cited page or References page
