c) The media coverage of the Birmingham protest, which included water hoses and dogs turned on African Americans and the violent response by the city government played a key role in ending Jim Crow laws in the United States. The ultimate result was the most important civil rights act in the nation’s history, the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 contained 11 Titles. Name at least three provisions of the Act. Which Title(s) was most important to you and why?
d) Discuss The Voting Rights Act of 1965. What are some of its key provisions?
