Write all of your critiques in one Microsoft Word document. The length of each of your critiques should be between 150 to 250 words and should thoroughly discuss the work being commented on. Your critiques should provide thoughtful, insightful, and constructive feedback for your selected students.
Focus your discussion on the elements and principles of design, strength of the tools and techniques used, and execution of the finished image. Identify what is successful and what needs more work. Provide some helpful suggestions for improvement. In particular:
Discuss how well the visual paradox works formally and conceptually. Is there a sophisticated idea/concept present? Identify what seems to be most successful about the paradox and what needs more work.
Discuss how effective the visual paradox is at questioning photographic truth. Did the student produce a successful visual paradox? How well did they combine multiple images together to form a seamless composite photograph?
Discuss how effectively the student considered content and context.
Remember: Your peers work hard just like you do. Show respect for their work and give critical feedback that will be useful for the student.

5/5 Exceptional work. Thorough constructive feedback is given on both successful and unsuccessful elements of the assignment. Sophisticated and critical suggestions for improvement are given. Both technical and aesthetic suggestions given. At least three projects commented upon. 250 words in length each.
4-4.5/5 Good work. Constructive feedback is given in a respectful manner. Both successful and unsuccessful elements of the assignment are discussed. Suggestions are offered for improvement but mostly cover personal taste. At least three projects commented upon. 150 – 250 words in length each.
3-3.5/5 Satisfactory work. Some constructive feedback is given but responses remain mostly descriptive. The student does not offer suggestions for improvement. Responses are only a few sentences long and mostly unclear or off topic. More work necessary. Suggestions could be given in a more respectful manner. At least three projects have been commented upon.
2.5/5 Barely adequate work. Minimal effort and commitment in terms of providing constructive feedback. Comments are only a couple of sentences long or point form and are less than 150 words. Responses are descriptive only. Very little effort. Poor work. Disrespectful comments are given. Less than three projects have been commented upon.
0/5 No Submission. Disrespectful, hurtful language used.
