Let’s look towards climate solutions together! In your small group, pick a climate solution from the Project Draw down’s Climate Solution list to research and create a 10 minute presentation to share your findings with the class. Presentations could be in the form of, or include elements of, a slideshow, video, participatory activity, discussion questions, etc. Challenge yourselves to be creative with how you engage the class! Groups must be prepared to answer questions at the end of your presentation.
In this assignment, you and your group will:
Present a comprehensive overview of your solution from the Project Draw down Climate Solution list. This is the who, what, where, how of your topic.
Present the topic by explaining its environmental, social, political/economic contexts, and some recommendations and solutions to any unresolved aspects of the topic.
Each group member will contribute to a portion of the research .
Each group member will write a 2-3 page paper on what you researched and how you contributed to the project.
Each group member will use at least 3 different news articles, essays, or peer-reviewed journal articles that are not included in the course syllabus to gather information on your topic. You will use this information to build your portion of the group presentation and to write your individual paper. Additionally, you may also use readings from class to support your position.
In the individual paper, please include the 3 sources in your works cited page at the end of your document.
