1. Select a research topic in the fields of human rights or immigration policy that is related to immigration the refugee and humanitarian aspect of it. Topic: family separation policy that was in place a few years ago and impacting the immigration system today
a. The topic or issue does not have to be complicated. For example, you could start by posing a question that interests you, like: “What happened when INS turned into RAIO?” or “Why do we use the term ‘Alien’?” or “Why are we processing refugees detained by Australia?”
2. You will conduct research on this subject and prepare a “Brief”
a. Base your research on reliable sources
