opinion paper based in solid scientific evidence. Policies you may choose from include
:
• Childhood obesity prevention programs in schools
• Limiting or banning sale of super-sized sodas in restaurants
• Limiting or banning sale of sugary sodas and snacks in schools
• Fluoridation of municipal drinking water
• No smoking allowed in any public spaces or buildings
• Legalizing medicinal marijuana
Find at least SIX references from peer-reviewed sources. If you’re not sure whether the references will count, just ask. In your 2-3 page opinion paper , be sure to consider the following:
• How did this policy get enacted? Why did policy-makers think this was necessary?
• What scientific evidence supports your position?
• What scientific evidence refutes your position?
• Should this policy be continued, modified, or discontinued? How and why?
Your paper must between two and three pages in length and be typed in Times New
