Choose and read the following books:
–2 New bery Medal or Honor
–3 Calde cott Medal or Honor books
–5 Other award-winning picture books (Caldecott, Pura Belpre, or other award of your choice.
Develop a response that includes a brief synopsis, your personal response to the text, and ideas for reading with children. This is all similar to the work we have previously done on responses. also include the following: Name and year of the award, and your comments about the award’s application to this book .
Responses to chapter books should be about 2 double spaced pages. Responses to picture books can be shorter.
