Women’s Changing Roles in Society – Students will be asked to look at the societal changes, over time, as it relates to women; specifically the role of women in the workplace. Students can look at the glass-ceiling, the pay gap, the growth of women from mothers to women holding CEO positions and the like.
Students must construct an essay that provides the reader with an argument regarding women’s changing roles in society over time.
Have things for women changed or stayed the same? Are women urged to stay at home or leave the home to pursue a career? What about the current pay gap between men and women? Is there one and how important is that to women’s overall role in society?
