1) Consider Sanders’ essay, “The Inheritance of Tools.” Write an essay that focuses on something that you have inherited. The inherited object can be a physical item that you can see, touch, smell, etc.
Describe the object and its history/importance to you and your family. What memories are attached to the object? You can refer back to Sander’s essay (pp. 29-37)
