Rhetorical Analysis: County Fairs
A writer from this site wrote this essay but there are some corrections that I would like to have made:
1. “everyone: they” This should be a semicolon, not a colon.
2. “The Columbia County Fair follows a similar script.” Where is this? Georgia? When?
3. The essay is generally well written, but it reads essentially as a commercial for the fair. I can’t quite tell who your chosen audience is from the approach here in the essay. It will help if you reach out to your audience more directly. For example, if they haven’t ever been to a county fair, you might pose some questions or form connections between what they might appreciate and what they’re likely to find at the fair. Some very specific examples or anecdotes will also help.
